Khlong San · Studio note 07

Most “journeys” on your dashboard are just pageviews wearing a costume.

Devagentbase is a small Bangkok studio that teaches User Journey Mapping for Apps. We work with product and analytics teams who already have events, funnels, and heatmaps — and still cannot explain why a person leaves between screen three and screen four.

The flagship programme, Path Cartography Studio, spends eleven weeks on event hygiene, silent exits, and maps you can defend in a review. Fees are published; nothing is charged on this site.

“The silent-exit week was the first time our ride-hailing squad admitted the onboarding funnel was a slideshow, not a path.”

Path Cartography Studio

Eleven weeks, one cohort at a time. You bring a live app surface — onboarding, checkout, or a first-week habit loop — and leave with a pruned event dictionary, a path map with named dead ends, and a review script your PM can actually sit through.

What we insist on

Three habits that keep a map honest

Name the step, not the screen

A tap is not automatically a step. We teach you to separate decorative UI from decisions that change the person’s next option. If the chart cannot survive that test, it is decoration.

Hunt silent exits

Most drop-offs never fire an error. They happen on screens that look “complete.” Drop-off Forensics Desk is built around that quiet failure, not the crash log.

Prune before you stitch

Cross-surface stitching is useless if half your events are aliases. We spend a full week deleting names that only exist because a redesign renamed a button.

19 studio cycles since 2021
47 product surfaces mapped with a named dead end
12 mentors based in Bangkok and Chiang Mai
6.2 average events kept per screen after cleanup (last three cycles)

Funnel Grammar for Mobile Screens forced us to rewrite three event names we had been defending for a year. I still think the homework load in week two is heavy if you also run a squad, but the rewritten dictionary paid for the time.

The room on Krung Thon Buri

We teach from Khlong San, not from a generic “remote-first” void. Cohorts meet in person on alternate Thursdays; remote seats join from Chiang Mai, Phuket, and the rest of Thailand on the same clock. If you want a map you can hang on a wall, come sit with us. If you only need the syllabus, start with the course list or write the desk.
